One of our main goals at Missio Kids is to provide a safe and secure area for all children to learn about Jesus and have fun. We do that through several measures, all of which are meant to keep our ministry secure and provide peace of mind for parents.
At Missio Kids, we use a numbered security tag system. Once your child is registered, our check-in helper will give each child a sticker that contains a security number, name, parent information, allergy information, and any other special needs during their time with us. The parent is also given a sticker that contains the same security number. When you come to pick up your child, you will give the check-in helper your numbered sticker, they will verify each child’s number and then they will get your child for you. For our Missio Kids security, we ask that all parents wait at the door to limit traffic as we check-out children.
Also, during the service we have one volunteer that will remain in the check-in area to watch the entrance to our Missio Kids. No one without a parent tag or who is not a volunteer for that week will be allowed in the children’s classes.
Safety within the classroom includes a policy that no volunteer will be alone with a child or group of children under any circumstance. There will always be at least two volunteers with a child or classroom at all times— NO EXCEPTIONS.
Finally, all of our volunteers and teachers have had a national background check to provide added security and safety for your children.
Please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or ask one of our team members at the Missio Kids check-in desk at our Sunday Gathering.
