Missio kids

Our mission and heartbeat with Missio Kids is simple: we desire to disciple kids to know and love Jesus with their whole heart and to live their lives in a way that makes God known and brings Him alone the glory in everyday life.

We take this mission extremely important. We understand that this is a huge task that we as a children’s ministry cannot do on our own. Studies show that we have your kids for roughly 40 hours a year whereas in the home you the family have them for roughly 3000 waking hours a year. With these statistics in mind, this means our method of reaching this goal greatly changes. No longer can the home and children’s ministry be two separate functions but rather we join together as a team all with the same goal in mind to better impact kids’ lives.

On Sunday Mornings, we seek to create a safe and energetic environment in which all kids will be taught a gospel-centered lesson combined with scripture memory, games, art, music, and videos. We use The Gospel Project for Kids Curriculum which is a three year curriculum that walks through scripture to show kids that the Bible is not simply a collection of small stories but one large story that is all about Jesus. Each week we send kids home with a worksheet and story card that walks through the day's lesson and includes parent resources for discipleship in the home.  (Here is a short video to show what The Gospel Project is all about: https://vimeo.com/123430346 )

Our mission and goal is simple but it is one of great need and importance. Our prayer at Missio Kids is that we would develop deep partnerships and lasting relationships with families and kids that create disciples, missionaries, worshippers and families who will radically change the world for Jesus sake in their everyday lives.

FIRST TIME GUESTS

What To Expect:

Our team with Missio Kids is excited to meet you and your awesome kids. We want your first time with us to be an incredible experience. Here are a few things that will help you to have a successful and enjoyable first visit.

When to Arrive:

Check-in begins fifteen minutes before our Sunday Gathering starts. After you park, bring your children to the Missio Kids check-in area and meet our team. The children’s area is located through the Hall that has Kids on the top of the double doors.

Secure Check-in:

Your child's safety is of extreme importance to us.

When you arrive at the Missio Kids check-in area, one of our team members will walk you through our check-in process. You will be given a registration form to be filled out for each child and then you will be given a check-in ticket. Your child will wear their check-in ticket on their back the entire class. If at any time during the class an issue arises where we need you, we will text the contact number left on the registration form.

Once your child has been registered and checked-in, one of our Missio Kids team members will give you a tour of the area and introduce you and your kids to their class. Please don't hesitate to ask us any questions you may have. We know you are entrusting us with your precious children and we take our safety with extreme seriousness.
